Ceremony - Forget the Expensive Venues! ~ Inspiration

Who says you have to follow the crowd and book that really expensive venue for your wedding?  I say PA-toooy on that.  If you're on a budget or looking to stretch your budget to the max...recruit recruit recruit!  We live in an area where there are an abundance of beautiful farms and outdoor locations per-fect for weddings!

Know anyone with a barn?!?!?  OF COURSE YOU DO!

Know someone with a barn and loads of xmas lights!?!?!  YES!

Brave the weather and round up a few haybails for instant outdoor seating.

Or find a local lumber jack to create bench seats with logs.  Yes please.

Now get creative with your outdoor location.

All photos grabbed from Pinterest!  Love love that sight.

Inspiration - Wedding Gown Hangers - A MUST HAVE!

Dear Brides,

Everyone wants the picture of THE DRESS.  You know the one...the shot with your dress hanging from some open doorway looking as if its eagerly awaiting your toe to dip into it.  The shot where your dress looks so beautiful but also so lonely without YOU - its wonderfully enchanted bride.  These shots are great and some of my (Brook) favorites as I love love love the detail shots.  I was talking to Casey last night about when I look back at my wedding and wedding pictures...the detail is an aspect that I and my photographer didn't tend to.  MISTAKE!

So in honor of the details I'd like to post a small detail product that you must have.  Seriously.
Personalized wedding gown hangers from Lila Frances.
WARNING - She is very busy and sells out quickly.  You should order as far in advance as you can!!!

Making Your Wedding Your Own – Inspiration

I find myself more and more obsessed with the decor at OTHER people’s weddings.  Odd  I know, but I my one wish for brides would be the knowledge that beauty doesn’t always equate to expensive.  So many great ideas here!
Outdoor Reception - Tagged on Pinterest
I LOVE the above.  My gmaw has nearly every piece of furniture in her house.  WaaLA!  Instant reception decor and seating.  How much money would that save you?!?!?

Wedding Preview – Mikeee & Crystal – Campbellsville KY

Little wedding preview from the lovely wedding of Michael and Crystal.  Very very sweet couple…arguably one of my (Brook’s) most favorite couple to date.

Above is Crystal…the blushing bride…you can’t see in this picture…but Crystal had her grandma’s jewlery made into her bouquet.  No flowers for this bride.  Jewel bouquet pictured at top….made by Twisted Stem.

Working Girls – Mikey & Crystal Campbellsville KY Wedding

Please forgive my white legs…my cohort for the day (Mr. Jess Sandidge) snapped some pics of me WORKING IT…so I’m hoping to make this a regular section of the Casey Brook Photography Blog…WORKING GIRLS.  I for one love to see photographers working…so here we go.  Again…please forgive my whiteness.  I came away sun-burnt and sore from this wedding.

Above - soybean field in Campbellsville KY.  Note - I did change out of my redneck cut-offs before the big dance.  Just so ya' know!
Above -  Brook giving instruction to the bride...close-up instructions.
Below - HOW GREAT IS THIS CAR!!  VERY NICE.

My lovely grass allergies were kicking after rolling around in the grass (above).
